1. Graduation ceremonies of NCO Training Batch-2 and Basic Military Training Batch-10 were held
The No. 1 Military Regional Command- Magway Region announced that on May 14, the graduation ceremonies of NCO Training Batch-2 and Basic Military Training Batch-10 of the People’s Defense Force (PDF), No. 1 Military Regional Command – Magway Region were held.
Officials from the Magway Regional Command Office and various battalions/forces attended the graduation ceremony, bowing to the flag of the People’s Revolution, bowing to the martyrs who fallen in the Spring Revolution, holding a one-minute silence to commemorate the passing away of KIA Commander-in-Chief Lt. Gen. R. Hkawng Lum, who was the commander of No. (1) Military Regional Command, reading the message from the Minister of Defence, giving speeches, awarding graduation certificates and awards to the outstanding trainees, and singing revolutionary songs in the chorus was done.
Similarly, on May 16, the graduation ceremony of Basic Military Training Batch-10 of Hpasawng PDF, 1108 Battalion, Central Regional Command, was held in a place in Hpasawng Township, Karenni State. A total of 80 trainees attended the basic military training, and the training lasted for one month. The graduation ceremony was attended by comrades from Hpasawng PDF, Bawlakhe PDF, ethnic armed EROs, Nay Pyi Taw PDF, and civilians.
2. Shwebo Myoma Police Station and township court were bombed with drones, killing 8 junta soldiers including officers
Wild Tiger People’s Defence Force said that Shwebo Myoma Police Station and township court were bombed with drones, killing 8 junta soldiers including officers.
Revolutionary forces attacked Shwebo Myoma Police Station and township court with 5 drop bombs using drones at 3:30 p.m. on May 16. The bombs exploded at places where the terrorist military council troops were stationed and it was said that the dead and wounded were carried with ambulances from Shwebo General Hospital.
In this attack, a total of 8 junta soldiers were killed, including a captain, sub-inspector Tin Tun Lin Aung, policemen Chan Win and Zaw Htaik (b) Jack Cock, and 8 were seriously injured. The revolutionary comrades were unharmed, and a drone was damaged in the attack.
The attack was carried out jointly by Bo Kyar Yine People’s Defence Force – Shwebo, Project Flight (Fight for Democracy) Drone Force, Drop For Justice – DFJ, Flying Dragon Force, Tarno Yakha People’s Security Force, FFF.NK Drone, Shwebo Arrmahn Urban Guerrilla Force, and Theinkha Arrmahn Force.
Wild Tiger People’s Defence Force has announced that they will continue to attack military support pillars, including the soldiers, police and Pyu Saw Htee militia, who are causing trouble to the people in various ways.
3. After torching Shwe Bo Village and Yay Thar Village in Gangaw Township, Pyu Saw Htee militia column from Myauk Khin Yan Village killed some people and arrested 7 monks
Yaw Alinn Tan reported that on the morning of May 16, the Pyu Saw Htee militia column from Myauk Khin Yan Pyu Saw Htee Village in the north of Gangaw Township, Magway Division, raided Yay Thar Village and Shwe Bo Village, and set fire the villages since 10:30 a.m., burning down 14 civilian houses in Yay Thar Village and hundreds of houses in Shwe Bo Villages which has about 600 households.
They killed 80-year-old U Thar New and a cow, and the body of a 9-year-old boy was found burned to death while clearing the area. 7 monks from Shwe Bo Village monastery were taken as hostages, and on the morning of May 17, they were reportedly released.
A local resident told to Yaw Alinn Tan, “Yesterday morning at around 10:30 a.m., the Pyu Saw Htee militia column from Myauk Khin Yan Village started to set fire to Shwe Bo Village and Yay Thar Village. It is confirmed that 14 houses have been burned down in Yay Thar Village.
As for Shwe Bo Village, it is said that more than 300 houses have been burned down. The details will be known only after the clearing of the area. Over 80-year-old U Thar Nwe from Shwe Bo Village is blinded and deaf. He stayed at home because he couldn’t go anywhere. They brutally shot him with a gun and even killed a cow in the courtyard of U Thar Nwe’s house. In the village, a burnt body of a 9-year-old boy was found. It is not yet confirmed who it is.
They burned down a building in the Shwe Bo Village monastery compound and took 7 monks as hostages when they retreated yesterday evening. This morning, it is said that the monks have been released.”
Shwe Bo village is the closest village to Myauk Khin Yan village, and now it has been the third time that Pyu Saw Htee militia from Myauk Khin Yan Village set fire to Shwe Bo village.
4. The junta convoy of 7 vehicles coming out from the Wanbao copper mine and a canvas-covering vehicle coming out from NaMaKha were mined
People’s Defence Force – South Monywa announced that at about 12:54 p.m. on May 16, a junta convoy of 7 vehicles coming out from the Wanbao copper mine and a canvas covering vehicle coming out from NaMaKha (Northwestern Military Command headquarters) was mined with 3 front mines and 2 large mines, and fired with small arms at 2 points between Nat Yay Kan and Yay Poe Sar villages in Chaung U Township.
The casualties of junta soldiers are still being investigated. Though the soldiers in the car fired back with heavy weapons and small arms, comrades from allied forces were able to retreat without harm.
The attack was carried out jointly by Monywa District Battalion 11 Company 1 and Monywa District Battalion 24 Company 1 of the Ministry of Defence of the National Unity Government, Monywa Ranger Group/Truth Army, Nway Oo Youths People’s Defense Force, Myinmu Local Defense Force, Taw Thar Gyi People’s Defense Force, and Myanmar Islamic Special Commando Force.
People’s Defense Force – South Monywa (Monywa District Battalion 11 ) is facing a lot of financial problems, so they have particularly been appealing to the public to provide support as much as they can to replenish weapons and ammunition.
5. WY narcotic drug dealer arrested, and pills were burned
Kyunsu Township People’s Defense Force (PaKaFa) released that on May 16, they went to investigate and arrested people who were selling and using WY narcotic pills in Yamon Village in Kywe Hkrum Village Tract, upon receiving information.
It is reported that 70 pills of WY narcotic drugs were seized from 39-year-old U Pein Chaung, son of U Kalar, from Yamon Village along with evidence. It is reported that the culprit, U Pein Chaung, was given a suitable punishment and was given a severe warning after having to sign a pledge not to sell, distribute, or use drugs in the future.
It is reported that the seized WY narcotic pills (70) were destroyed by fire in the presence of the defendant.
6. A local order has been issued to prevent the gathering of people and not to travel at night within the area of Gangaw District Battalion 13
On May 17, Gangaw District Battalion 13 of No. 1 Military Region issued a local order to the public not to congregate and to refrain from traveling at night in the area of the Gangaw District Battalion 13 in Magway Division.
Gangaw District Battalion 13 has issued a local order due to regional instability and regional security needs. To ensure the security and stability of the area, they have issued the local order after discussing it with the relevant district administration, public administration, and people’s defense forces.
It is stated in the local order that anyone must undergo the necessary checks at the checkpoints in the area of the Gangaw District Battalion 13, that traveling is prohibited between 8:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m., that any armed organization must not camp in the villages, that any person should not stay in the villages without the permission of the relevant organizations, and that no gatherings should be held without the permission of the relevant organizations.
It also includes that the local order will remain in place as long as the order revoking this local order has not yet been issued. Therefore, the public is urged to comply with the local order issued now, and if one does not comply, the relevant stakeholders will be fully responsible for any harm or unwanted problems and will have to take relevant punishment by Gangaw District Battalion 13.
