At the meeting, Union Minister for Labour U Nai Tun Pe @ U Nai Suwunna, a member of ILACC, gave an opening speech.
Following, officials from ministries explained the activities of relevant ministries, and then members of the township people’s administrative bodies exchanged views with relevant officials regarding policies, directions, activities, and challenges encountered on the ground.
The meeting was attended by Union Ministers, Permanent Secretaries, Associate Secretaries, officials from ministries, and members of the township people’s administrative bodies of Sagaing Division.

The meeting was attended by Associate Secretary, officials from the Public Administration Department, Police Department, Fire Department, Immigration Department, and Department of Special Investigation, and members of the township people’s administrative bodies of Bago, Ayeyarwady, Yangon and Tanintharyi Divisions. The meeting was successfully ended at 11:45 a.m.

4. The military council is firing heavy weapons at the ancient capital of Mrauk-U, killing 1 more civilian and damaging the ancient museum and pagodas
“Another civilian was killed as the military council attacked with heavy artillery at Mrauk-U, the ancient capital of Rakhine state, and four people have been killed by heavy weapons in two days,” the residents said.
On December 24, after the Arakan Army (AA) attacked the Mrauk-U Myoma Police Station, Thutaw Ma Taung Camp, and Myaung Bwe Police Station, the military council’s battalions based in Mrauk-U opened fire on civilian areas with heavy weapons. The LIB-324 of the military council based in Namtu Township, Brigade 4 military area, fired 19 heavy artillery shells at civilians, causing an explosion in Nanlin Village, Mansagyi Village Tract. As a result, a house was destroyed by fire, and more than 20 lakh kyat worth of rice, oil, and money were lost in the fire.
6. Myin Chin (Pyu) Village in Shwebo was attacked and captured, killing 3 members of the military council and arresting members of the militia with 6 guns
The People’s Defense Forces released the news that they attacked and seized the military council camp in Myin Chin Village, Shwebo Township, Sagaing Division, and 3 members of the military council were killed and the militia members were captured along with 6 guns.
The Borderless Revolutionary Alliance, Shwebo District Battalion 18, informed that 4 battalions of the People’s Defense Force in Shwebo District attacked Myin Chin (Pyu) Village at about 3:00 a.m. on December 24 and were able to capture it at about 5:00 a.m. and that the flag of the People’s Defense Force was hoisted.
It is reported that 2 camps and the bunker stationed by the police and Pyu Saw Htee under the military council were captured within an hour of the battle, and the school where the military council troops were stationed was captured at 5 a.m. It is also said that the 4 battalions in the Shwebo District conducted the operation together because the terrorist military was unjustly oppressing the villagers, extorting money, and forcibly recruiting residents as Pyu Saw Htee militia.
In the attack, a total of 60 people, 29 Pyu Saw Htee men and 31 Pyu Saw Htee women, called the militia, were arrested and 6 small arms were seized.
The Taw Gyi Mway Pway PDF, Shwebo District Battalion 17, announced that a comrade from the group was injured in the camp capture battle.
Commander Bo Sun Ye from the Shwebo District Battalion 18 said, “As a victory for the first step of our strategy, we were able to capture Myin Chin Village in Shwebo Township.”
This battle was cooperatively conducted by the strategic column formed by Shwebo District Battalion 18, 15, 17, and 26, and local PaKaFa.

According to the Burma Liberation Democratic Front (BLDF), it was reported that they attacked the military council’s soldiers who came out of the Thazi Prison in Monywa Township, Sagaing Division, and attacked them again when they were transporting the injured to the hospital. During the operation, 7 soldiers of the military council were killed and 4 weapons were seized.
On December 24, around 8:30 a.m., local revolutionary forces ambushed about 10 military council soldiers who were coming out of a newly built prison near Thazi Police Station in Monywa Township.
A BLDF official said that the exchange of fire took place for about 7 minutes, and two military council soldiers were killed on the spot and five were wounded.
While the injured were being transported to the Alon military hospital by ambulance, the Monywa Township People’s Defense Force (PaKaFa) and the Monywa Township Public Security Force (PaLaFa) intercepted and attacked, resulting in the deaths of 5 military council soldiers and the recovery of 4 weapons.
According to a BLDF official, the soldiers from Thazi Prison were extorting money from the local people, so they hid every day and attacked them.
