1. NUG Foreign Minister engages in online discussion with EU Special Envoy for Myanmar
Daw Zin Mar Aung, Union Minister for Foreign Affairs of the National Unity Government, engaged in an online conversation with Mr. Igor Driesmans, the EU Special Envoy for Myanmar.
On October 26, Mr. Igor Driesmans conveyed on X (formerly Twitter) that “the EU continues to stand with the people of Myanmar and their wish to return to democracy.”
Mr. Igor Driesmans also had conversations with NUG’s Education and Health Minister Dr. Zaw Wai Soe on October 6, where the conversation centered on education and the military junta’s attacks on educational facilities.
2. Union Minister Daw Zin Mar Aung calls for the simultaneous opening of doors to establish a new federal democracy union
In a Facebook post on October 27, Daw Zin Mar Aung, Union Minister for Foreign Affairs of the National Unity Government, urged a collective effort to establish a new federal democratic union, welcoming “Operation 1027.”
She conveyed, “Good revolutionary morning, everyone. The moment has arrived to reap the fruits of our labor. The revolution must prevail. Stay vigilant against psychological warfare. Unite!, all revolutionary forces. Together, let’s open the doors simultaneously to establish a new federal democratic union,” emphasized Union Minister Daw Zin Mar Aung.
Since 4:00 a.m. today (October 27), clashes have erupted between military junta forces and revolutionary forces across different areas of Shan State. Residents from northern Shan State—Lashio, Kutkai, Muse, and Hsenwi (Theinni)—have reported hearing shootings.
On the morning of October 27, Union Minister for Communication, Information, and Technology, U Htin Linn Aung, also stated, “Thadingyut has arrived. Celebrations are taking place not only in the northern, central, and southern regions but also in Yangon.”
3. Myanmar parliamentary delegation talks with outgoing Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) President Mr. Duate Pacheco at the 147th IPU Assembly
A parliamentary delegation from Myanmar, headed by Union Minister Dr. Win Myat Aye, a member of the Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH), is participating in the 147th IPU assembly and related meetings, taking place in Luanda, Angola, from October 23 to 27.
The delegation contributed to general debates, governing council sessions, meetings of standing committees, and related meetings during the assembly.
On October 25, Dr. Win Myat Aye, as the leader of the Myanmar delegation, delivered a speech at the general debate, focusing on the theme “Parliamentary diplomacy for peace, justice, and strong institutions.”
In addition, the delegation held bilateral meetings with the outgoing President of IPU, Mr. Duate Pacheco, and its officials, as well as other parliamentary delegations.
In the 147th IPU Assembly, Myanmar’s delegation, according to a statement from the CRPH, disseminated informational handouts detailing the military junta’s acts of violence in Myanmar, human rights violations against elected lawmakers, and calls for international parliamentary community action to support Myanmar’s democratic endeavors.
The Committee Representing Pyidangsu Hluttaw (CRPH) has received official recognition from the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) as Myanmar’s parliamentary body. The CRPH emphasized in its statement that it is intensifying its initiatives to exert greater political and diplomatic pressure on the military junta in tandem with the revolutionary forces’ campaign to increase military, political, and economic pressure on the terrorist military junta in order to achieve the victory of the spring revolution.
4. Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA) occupies almost the entire town of Chinshwehaw on the Chinese border in Shan State
Following a series of clashes in northern Shan State earlier today, the Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA) gained control of Chinshwehaw, a strategically important town situated along the Chinese border. Along with the town of Chinshwehaw, they have reportedly captured the Myanmar-China border trade checkpoint in Chinshwehaw, namely Hpaungseik.
Social media reports from locals indicate that a significant number of police personnel were killed at the Hpaungseik border trade checkpoint.
In a joint statement, the Three Brother Alliance, consisting of the Arakan Army (AA), the Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA), and the Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA), declared the launch of “Operation 1027” early in the morning.
The operation’s objectives include eradicating the military dictatorship, fulfilling the desires of the entire Myanmar populace, protecting them from junta atrocities, defending themselves, stopping the military’s indiscriminate attacks against them with heavy weapons or airstrikes, and achieving authentic self-administration.

U Min Ko Naing, a prominent student leader in the 8888 uprising and a pro-democracy activist, conveyed in a Facebook post on October 27 that the terrorist military junta arrives at a situation where it “loses” whenever it fights and “runs” whenever it loses.
“In the face of the fascist military’s breakdown on all fronts—military, financial, diplomatic, and psychological—sanctions are becoming more effective. Additional substantial consequences are looming for them. They have failed to secure a UN seat, are excluded from participating in ASEAN meetings, and have resorted to deploying elderly ex-servicemen to the front lines. In a situation where they consistently “lose” whenever fighting and “run” when facing defeat, they are sweating as they realize that merely feeding puppets is no longer sufficient,” he asid.
At present, the military junta forces are losing ground in Karenni (Kayah) State, Karen State, Sagaing Region, Magway Region, Shan State, and Kachin State.
6. Junta troops and Pyu Saw Htee militia jointly-stationing camp in Ayadaw Township targeted in coordinated ground and air assault; 7 deaths reported
On October 27, at around 4:00 p.m. a military camp in Tha Le Bar village in Ayadaw Township, Sagaing, which was jointly stationed by junta troops and Pyu Saw Htee militia, was targeted in a coordinated ground and air assault by the PDF forces, as stated in a report from the No. 4 Myingyan District PDF Battalion (Natogyi People Defence Force). The attack reportedly resulted in the deaths of three junta troops and four Pyu Saw Htee members.
According to the report, the confrontation lasted for approximately two hours. The revolutionary forces withdrew without capturing the camp due to the onset of darkness and the challenges posed by navigating through the enemy’s minefields.
Furthermore, there are reports indicating that in Tigyaing Township, Sagaing, the military junta, facing losses in ground combat with the KIA and PDF allied forces, initiated air strikes.
A revolutionary comrade confirms, “It is known that a military junta column was surrounded and came under attack.”
The Tigyaing Revolution (TR), a local revolutionary network, also reported that at 10:50 a.m., a Mi-35 jet fighter carried out air strikes near Min Wun Hill for approximately 30 minutes before heading back in the direction of Kawlin.
7. Revolutionary allied forces destroy the Special Police Branch and Military Security Affairs Office near Light Infantry Battalion No. 97 in Kawkareik, Karen State
Reports indicate that fighting has been fierce in Kawkareik Township, Karen State, since early this morning, and revolutionary allied forces burned the Special Police Branch and Military Security Affairs Office near Light Infantry Battalion No. 97.
Clashes have erupted in at least four locations, including Kyar Inn Kone, Ta Dar U, and the compound office area. The conflict involves military junta forces and allied forces of the Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA) and the People’s Defence Force (PDF).
“It can even be said that the fighting took place in Kawkareik Town. Two offices of the military junta have also been burned down. Many of the residents have fled,” a local resident said.
At present, clashes continue in various parts of Kawkareik, and civilians have already been seeking refuge in the mountain school.
