Defence Minister U Yee Mon says that PDFs have become the hope of the people of Myanmar and the lifeblood of the people’s revolution
The minister said this in the message sent to the graduation ceremony of the Special Military Education Training of the Tanintharyi Region Military Sub-Command held in August.
“Now, PDFs have become the hope of the people of Myanmar. They have become the lifeblood of the revolution. You must understand that your duties in this revolution are very heavy,” Union Minister U Yee Mon said.
It is said that, at present, there are 257 battalion units that have been formally established under the People Defence Force (PDF), and 401 township defense forces (pakapha) and LDF urban youth guerrilla force that are allied to the Ministry of Defence.

Deputy Minister Daw Ei Thinzar Maung said at the 4th monthly seminar of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation held under the theme “The contents about minerals sector that revolutionary public should know”.
“The mining companies discarded the waste material after they competed for mining. Mining is not allowed in residential areas. But when the land plots were sold, mining was also conducted in the residential areas. When all the lands were dug like that, the heap of waste material collapsed over time. Once it collapses, many people die. If you go and see, those include many young people,” Deputy Minister Daw Ei Thinzar Maung said.
Deputy Minister also said that environmental protection is poorly cared for by the businessmen, and most of the local residents suffer the effects.

According to local news sources, on the night of 23 August, the military junta troops stationed at the Ye-U Traditional Medicine Hospital arbitrarily fired artillery shells, hitting four members of a family, including a 7-year-old child, and another woman.
It is said, “Last night, 4 members of a family, including a 7-year-old child, from Hmuthargone village in Ye-U Township, a woman from Hmuthat village in Khin-U Township, and a cow were hit by artillery shells and injured.”
It is also reported that, on the morning of 24 August, two cars full of soldiers that departed from Ye-U dropped off about 50 infantrymen to the Khin-U area and when they were attacked by the defense forces with mines near the Mu River Bridge, they arbitrarily fired at the surrounding area.

A six-and-a-half-year-old child and a pregnant woman were among the people who died.
Student Armed Force is recruiting new comrades
In August, the Student Armed Force announced, “We have started recruiting new comrades who will fight together with the Student Armed Army under the fighting peacock flag of the Student Union. Not only university students, but anyone who has the student spirit to fight for the truth without taking his life into account can serve in the Student Armed Army.

“We fired at the fascist military troops preparing to cook. We started the operation at around 11:00 am while they were preparing to cook in their camp. The fascist military troops fired back at us with a large number of small and large weapons from inside the camp, but there was no harm,” the Karenni Nationalities Defense Force (B-02) said.
The operation was carried out jointly by KA, KNDF B-02 and B-04.
