1. U Ne Myo Zin attends the graduation ceremony of the basic military training of the Bee Column
On June 23, at 3:00 p.m., the basic military training Batch-2/2024 graduation ceremony was held in the closest place to an enemy military base in Nyaung Shwe Township.
The ceremony was attended by teacher U Nay Myo Zin, a poet/writer Thar Thakhin, and some people invited by the People’s Defense Forces.
The course was opened in April by the teacher U Nay Myo Zin and the author Thar Thakhin personally at the location closest to the enemy’s military base. For the training, the team took utmost care to maintain information security and practiced live-fire drills near the enemy’s strategic location. The enemy, under the assumption that they were under siege at their military base, responded with a fierce counterattack.
At the ceremony, Mr. U Nay Myo Zin handed over 20 bulletproof vests worth over 10 million kyats donated by the people to the comrades of the Bee Column and announced that the ceremony ended.
2. Some soldiers and their families from the LIB-566 battalion surrendered to AA, and some soldiers joined IB-55
In Rakhine State, Thandwe Township, Ngapali, some soldiers from the LIB-566 Battalion and their families surrendered to the Arakan Army and some of them joined IB-55, according to Narinjara News.
“On June 24, at around 3:00 p.m., Y-12 aircraft bombed the vicinity of the airfield and the 566th battalion, as well as the area where the battle was taking place, and the Navy also fired heavy weapons.
As the Arakan Army was clearing out the military council troops who had joined IB-55, the fighting was intense and there was also aerial bombardment.
After the Arakan Army used loudspeakers to address two battalions, LIB-566 and IB-55, asking them to raise the white flag or fight back, some soldiers from the 566th Battalion defected to the Arakan Army,” Narinjara News reported.
3. As the war raged on with unrelenting ferocity, the vast majority of Thandwe’s inhabitants fled the town
According to the Western News, nearly all residents of Thandhu Town and Ngapali Town, which have been severely affected by the ongoing conflict, have fled the area.
It is reported that 20 percent of the population still resides in Thandwe while 80 percent have left the town.
It is reported that hundreds of thousands of people from Ngapali and Thandwe towns are fleeing their homes and seeking refuge in safer areas, including Gwa Township, to escape the conflict and violence.
4. Mines attack on the junta soldiers who were harassing pedestrians and guarding the copper trucks
“At about 11:45 am on June 24, the junta soldiers who came out of Mya Pale were stopping and harassing the pedestrians near the Mon Ywe Toll Gate, and they were providing security for the copper trailer. When the two junta soldiers came near the minefield, we detonated three landmines.
During the attack, 1 soldier was killed on the spot and the other 1 was in critical condition. Although the junta side fired heavily with small arms, the allied revolutionary comrades were able to retreat unharmed.
The attack was carried out jointly by Monywa District No. (11) Battalion, Youth Vigor Revolution Force, and Black Hunter People’s Task Force,” Monywa District No. (11) Battalion People’s Defense Force – South Monywa reported.
5. 2 junta soldiers who forced civilians to clear mines were attacked with landmines
The Area 71 PDF group has reported that 2 junta soldiers who were left behind were killed by landmines when they were forcing civilians to search for and clear landmines on the Mongywa-Chaung U highway in Sagaing Division.
“On June 24, at 9:20 am, we launched a landmine attack on the junta soldiers who were forcing the civilians to clear landmines. Those junta soldiers came from Chaung U’s Mya Pale Gate in passenger cars.
As the two junta soldiers who had been left behind reached the minefield, we detonated the mines, ensuring that civilians were at a safe distance. Both soldiers were killed in the blast.
During the detonation attack, the military council soldiers, who had been hiding separately, opened fire in response, leaving us without sufficient time to trigger another mine point.

6. A shell fired by the junta’s navy hit the Maungdaw Myoma police station, killing 1 senior constable, wounding 1 police inspector and 1 deputy constable
“On June 23, at 8:15 p.m., a shell fired by the junta’s Navy exploded behind the Dhamma Hall in the Maungdaw Myoma Police Station in Rakhine State, killing 1 senior constable, wounding 1 police inspector and 1 deputy constable, and some dormitories were reported to have collapsed.
In addition to the Maungdaw Myoma Police Station, the junta’s Navy stationed in the Naf River fired 3 cannons at the shops on the other side of the road in front of the Office of the Chief of Military Security Affairs (OCMSA) and the Kanyintan Ward in Maungdaw, damaging some shops and some homes. Originally, the Maungdaw District Police Station and the Myoma Police Station had over 200 officers, but they fled, leaving behind more than 60 remaining policemen,” Narinjara News reported.
7. 15 bombs were dropped by a drone on the military council troops stationed in Mugwa Village, Taze Township
Shwebo District No. 14 Battalion – Ye U PDF has reported that the military council troops stationed in Mugwa Village, Taze Township, Shwe Bo District, Sagaing Division, were attacked by a drone with 15 bombs.
“On June 23, around 2:00 p.m., Ye U PDF attacked the military council troops stationed in Mugwa Village with 15 bombs using Fixed Wing Drones.
After the bombs exploded, the military junta side fired back with small arms, but the People’s Defense comrades were able to retreat unharmed.
