1. The National Unity Government has announced that it will take action against any individual who assists in the forced activation of the Military Conscription Law by the terrorist military junta
On February 13, the National Unity Government announced a statement regarding the Military Conscription Law.
It is said that the terrorist military junta is an illegal terrorist organization that is trying to seize state power by force and has no authority to enact laws and enforce the law.
Furthermore, the declaration made by the terrorist group asserting that the Military Conscription Law must go into effect on February 10, 2024, is unlawful, and citizens are not obliged to comply with it in any way.
It is also said that it is clear that the terrorist military junta, which is facing military defeats throughout the country, is intentionally forcing the public to serve as human shields during the war and to get protection of the interests and power of their groups by threatening people’s lives and property.
The National Unity Government (NUG) made clear that anyone, including individuals and organizations, who aid in enforcing the military service law by the terrorist military council will be labeled as enemies of the people, guilty of war crimes, and subject to vigorous prosecution.
To alleviate the hardships endured by the public as a result of the unlawful enforcement of this law, the National Unity Government will collaborate with allied organizations to offer essential protections and assistance, and further announcements will be made in accordance with the requirements.
2. The Acting President Duwa Lashi La and Union Prime Minister Mahn Winn Khaing Thann attended the Finance Commission meeting of the National Unity Government
It is reported that the National Unity Government’s Finance Commission meeting No. 1 was held on February 13, and Acting President Duwa Lashi La and Union Prime Minister Mahn Winn Khaing Thann attended.
At the meeting, Finance Commission Chairman Acting President Duwa Lashi La and Vice Chairman Union Prime Minister Mahn Winn Khaing Thann discussed.

A meeting between the Ministry of Commerce of the National Unity Government and the Mon State CDM Civil Servants Council (CCSC-MON) was held on February 13 through a Zoom Meeting.
The meeting was attended by Daw Khin Ma Ma Myo, the Union Minister of the Ministry of Commerce of the National Unity Government, the permanent secretary, officials from the departments, and the chairman and council members of the Mon State CDM Civil Servants Council (CCSC-MON).
At the meeting, the establishment of the Mon State CDM Civil Servants Council (CCSC-MON) was introduced and explained. The Union Minister said that CDM connections will continue, technical assistance and training will be provided regarding capacity building courses, and further meetings will be held.
After that, it was reported that the attendees also engaged in mutual discussion and questioning.
4. Despite the loss of the entire state, the military council still has strategic considerations
Deputy Minister U Maw Tun Aung said that even in a situation where the entire state will be lost, the military council has strategic considerations.
“The military council is not monolithic in its thinking. It knows about the diverse perspectives of various ethnic revolutionary groups. It knows well that each group may have distinct objectives relating to self-determination, self-administration, and a federal system. It is an evil army that also understands the geographical position. Even when faced with a potential simultaneous attack on the entire state, they strategically evaluate the possibility of reclaiming territories they are currently losing if they were to transition back to a semi-civilian status,” the Deputy Minister said.
Currently, the military council forces have lost most of the Rakhine State, including northern Shan and the Karenni State.
5. The Interim Local Administration Central Committee (ILACC) held a meeting with the township people’s administrative bodies of Yangon Division
On February 13, the meeting between the NUG’s Interim Local Administration Central Committee (ILACC) and the township people’s administrative bodies of Yangon Division (3/2024) was held. At the meeting, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Human Rights, who is also a member of ILACC, gave an opening speech.
Following, members of the township people’s administrative bodies exchanged views with relevant officials regarding policies, directions, activities, and challenges encountered on the ground.
The meeting was attended by Permanent Secretaries, Associate Secretaries, officials from ministries, and members of the township people’s administrative bodies of Yangon Division.
6. The terrorist junta arrested a total of 82 people, 21 women and 61 men, across the country within a month
The Assistance Association for Political Prisoners (Burma) stated this in its daily briefing in relation to the military coup updated on February 13, 2024.
The AAPP stated, “According to the data collected by the AAPP, from January 1 to February 13, 2024, (21) women and (61) men; (82) people in total, have been arrested and are still detained by the junta across the country with Yangon Region and Mandalay Region recording the highest number of arrests with (18) people.
In addition, during the stated period, (women and (28) men; (36) people in total, have been given prison sentences under specious charges by courts subservient to the junta and are still detained in prisons across the country, with Sagaing Region recording highest number of sentences with (20) people. Among (36) sentences, there are (12) people who have been sentenced to life imprisonment and (2) people who have been sentenced to the death penalty.”
7. Recruiting experts and new recruits from the Magway Regional Operation Command Office
On February 13, No. (1) Military Region, Magway Regional Operation Command informed that it has been calling for experts and new recruits.
It is said that experts and recruits are being screened and accepted in order to serve until the end of the revolution at the No. (1) Military Region, Magway Regional Operation Command. Experts include medical professionals, CDM civil servants, computer experts, kitchen/agricultural experts, and combat comrades.

8. PNLA announced that a battle broke out in Hsihseng Township, seizing weapons and ammunition from the military council
According to the PNLA, a battle between the Pa’O National Liberation Army (PNLA) and the joint forces of the military council and PNO broke out in Hsihseng Township, southern Shan State, seizing weapons and ammunition from the military council.
On February 12, the battle broke out when the joint forces of the military council and PNO ambushed the PNLA security column with snipers, drones, heavy weapons, and small arms. After the battle, when the PNLA cleared the area, it found at least 8 junta soldiers killed and seized 2 guns, a car, and some ammunition.
In addition, when the military council troops and PNO militia retreated, they opened fire on Pa’O villages along the road with heavy weapons, causing the residents of the village to flee.
9. The military council troops are conducting daily firing attacks on Kawlin and the nearby villages around Kawlin, damaging civilian houses
On February 13, the Kawlin Township People’s Administrative Body informed that the military council troops are conducting daily firing attacks on Kawlin and the nearby villages around Kawlin, damaging civilian houses.
“The junta troops are torching Kawlin and nearby villages around Kawlin and launching drone bombings and howitzer fire from LIB-120 in Wuntho every day,” it stated.
Kawlin People’s Administrative Body also reported that the military council used drones to bomb the ‘geriatric care center’ in the west of Kawlin, where the elderly people live.
10. PDF forces attacked the camp where the military council troops were stationed in Paukkhaung
Regional Command – Bago Division stated that the People’s Defense Forces attacked the military council troops stationed in Paw Lan Gyi Village, Nyaung Wun Village Tract, Paukkhaung Township, Pyay District, in the west of Bago Division.
On February 11, the camp stationed by more than 30 military council troops was attacked, and 6 military council soldiers were killed and at least 4 were injured.
It is also stated that the military council troops carried the dead bodies of their soldiers and injured ones in a log truck that was extracting timber in cooperation with them and went towards Paukkhaung.
The attack was carried out jointly by the Pyay District Battalion 3601 (PPDF), Company 5 (Taw Bayin Group), and the Pyay District Battalion 3602, Company 4 (TPDF).
11. The junta troops marching towards the east of Myohla were intercepted, killing about 15 junta soldiers
It is reported that the revolutionary forces intercepted the military council column that was marching east of Myohla, Yedashe Township, Bago Division, killing about 15 junta soldiers.
On February 11, at around 4:00 p.m., the military council column, which was invading Kanhla Village in the east of Myohla with around 100 troops, was intercepted by the U Ko Gyi Group of Brigade 2 of the Northern Thandaung Defense Force (Special Region).
“We intercepted the junta column marching to Kanhla. There are a lot of casualties on their side. Apparently, there were about 15 people. The battle lasted for about 1 hour and 45 minutes,” said Comrade Yone Lay from the U Ko Gyi Group of Brigade 2 of the Northern Thandaung Defense Force (Special Region).
During the battle, a reinforcement column of around 70 junta soldiers from the Yae Ni side of Yedashe Township came up firing with heavy weapons. Therefore, though the revolutionary forces had the upper hand, they had to retreat because they did not have enough ammunition, he said. He added that during the battle, some revolutionary comrades were hit by artillery shells and suffered minor injuries.
On February 11, around 7:00 p.m., the suffered junta column and the reinforcement column joined forces and burned down Kanhla Village, causing about 57 houses to burn down.
