“In addition to the ethnic groups, the revolution against the Myanmar military through armed means by many people and young people has also increased. This year, it will be 3 years since the Myanmar military seized power. The revolution is getting stronger through diplomatic, military, political, and social methods, and the Military Council’s Army is experiencing difficulties from all sides.
During the fighting across the country, the military council’s soldiers were killed in large numbers, demoralized and surrendered to the revolutionary forces. The military council used inhumane methods of operation to suppress the military resistance attacks, violating the ethics that any army should follow,” the chairman said.
The KNU president added that they aimed not only for the failure of the military dictatorship but also for the failure of all dictatorships and the rooting out of chauvinism, and that all ethnic groups, including the Karen, should understand that no other path apart from the armed path has been chosen to implement the goal.
