The people of Myanmar are not only facing natural disasters and war disasters but also the blockade of the coup military in receiving humanitarian aid,” the Acting President said.
According to the latest figures from the United Nations as of July 31, 2023, the number of internally displaced people in Myanmar has reached more than 1.9 million, of whom nearly 1.6 million are those who fled their homes due to the conflict and insecurity that occurred after the February 2021 coup.
“The international community needs to pay special attention to the urgent need for humanitarian aid in Myanmar and find an efficient and quick way to directly benefit the people from humanitarian aid. On the other hand, we must pay special attention to the misuse of humanitarian aid for military, political, or self-interest, and we urge you not to forget the values of humanitarianism,” said the Acting President.

3. Union Minister for NUG Human Rights met with the Myanmar community in Brisbane, Australia

It is said that a fierce two-week-long contact battle took place between the Karenni Revolutionary Joint Forces and the 55th Division under the military council, which marched from Demoso to Hpruso from August 2 to August 14.
Fighting took place daily along Demoso-Hpruso Union Road, where the military council troops invaded in columns. During August 10 to 12, the fighting was particularly fierce in Ngwe Taung Ywar Thit and Hti Thaw Ku Village, and the joint revolutionary forces were able to defeat the junta troops from LIB-112 under the 55th Division, resulting in the casualties of 45 junta soldiers. It was reported that 26 junta soldiers, including the battalion commander and deputy commander from the IB-3, were killed, and 15 small arms, 1 heavy weapon, related ammunition, and bullets were seized.
In addition, as there is still military tension along Demoso-Hpruso Union Road, the public is warned not to travel through it.
