Acting President Duwa Lashi La said that in order for the Spring Revolution to achieve victory, we must unite more today than yesterday. On May 5, on his message to “the 2nd anniversary of the establishment of the People’s Defence Force, acting president of the National Unity Government, Duwa Lashi La said the following:
“In order for the Spring Revolution to achieve victory, we must be more unified today than yesterday. We must be more unified tomorrow than today. We must work hard to provide security for the public interest as a united force day by day.”
The Central Command and Coordination Committee (C3C) and the Joint Coordination Committee (J2C) were established in partnership with allied ethnic revolutionary organizations. These committees oversee and negotiate military-level strategic planning, joint command, and coordination affairs.
2. The Minister of Defence warned the revolutionary forces to refrain from using weapons and force to solve the problem
Defence Minister U Yee Mon said that the revolutionary forces should especially refrain from using weapons and force to solve the problem. In his speech to PDF comrades on May 5, Defence Minister U Yee Mon added.
“When the revolution is about to achieve victory, our comrades will also hear subversive words that distort the revolution. We must be especially careful that if there is any problem between our comrades and our revolutionary forces, we need to solve this problem patiently for the benefit of the revolution. We also need to inform the higher officials. We want to warn them to refrain from solving it with weapons and using force,” said the minister.
In addition, the minister said that the public’s great gratitude to the PDF should not be forgotten.
3. The National Unity Government has already spent US$ 2,000,000 in health expenditures
The National Unity Government has already spent 2 million US dollars in health expenditures, and it was stated in the National Unity Government’s two-year anniversary report to the public in May. It stated:
“The medical and surgical treatment of people wounded by the military council, providing prostheses to amputees and performing emergency caesarean sections to deliver babies are all part of the care that is being provided by NUG.
In 198 townships (60% of the townships in the country), there are 66 hospitals, 159 clinics, 250 mobile clinics providing routine and emergency health care with a total of 3,832 health workers of whom 78% are professionals who joined the Civil Disobedience Movement.”
4. Collaboration with experts to provide encouragement programs to the people affected by the attack in Kanbalu Township’s Pazigyi Village
On April 11, 2023, it was reported that the National Unity Government’s Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management provided support programs for the people who were affected by the air attack on Kanbalu Township’s Pazigyi Village, not only for their physical needs but also for their psychological and social needs.
It is known that the ministry is working with the Emergency Response Task Force on the ground to provide care and support through art therapy to help children who are psychologically affected by the attack by drawing paintings to heal their trauma. In addition, it is reported that they are collaborating with experts to provide encouragement programs for those affected by the violence.
There are a total of 770 people who suffered including 254 households, 168 dead, and 32 injured due to the airstrikes by the terrorist military council. The affected people include 4 people over 65 years old, 18 children under 2 years old and 5 pregnant women.

The Chaung U Revolution confirmed the news on May 6 that 3 civilians, 3 comrades from the CHUPDF and 2 comrades from a defense force were killed by junta column invading Kyi Kone Village in Chaung-U Township, Sagaing Division.
“At 7:30 p.m. on May 5, the terrorist military council troops that had invaded Kyi Kone village in Chaung-U Township, Sagaing Division, continued to march southwest from Kyi Kone Village, and encountered the township PaKaFa patrol squad at the border of Kyi Kone Village.”
That junta column raided a training and discipline rear camp of CHUPDF, killing 1 camp commander and 2 comrades from that camp.
Along with the 3 fallen comrades, 2 innocent civilians who were doing chores at nearby Taw Ya Monastery were also beheaded and killed. They continued marching and killed a 65-year-old war refugee woman seen along the road.
It is reported that the terrorist military council column continued to march to the police station in Amyint Village and killed 2 men of around 40 years of age on the way.

“The junta troops that came out from Chaung-U Township violently raided and set fire to Lethtoketaw Village in Myinmu Township. Lethtoketaw Village is a large village with about 700 houses. More than 600 houses were destroyed in the fire, 2 men were killed and 2 were injured,” he said.
Many cattle and pigs were also killed in the fire. It is known that the terrorist military council column entered the village of Lethtoketaw at about 7:00 a.m., started burning from the north of the village at about 8:30 a.m., burned the fences around the village, and returned to the Nat Yaykan Village at about 10:00 a.m.

From 2:46 to 3:12 in the afternoon, 2 police officers were killed in an attack on Win Kan police station in Bilin Township lasting for 26 minutes. Similarly, starting at 2:46 in the afternoon, a total of 4 bombs were dropped by drones on Taungzun Police Station in Bilin Township and the damage from the junta side is not yet known.”

It is reported that Warazein Manufacturing Group is equipping 9-mm semi autos for local people defense forces in Mingin Township. On May 6, the Warazein Production Group announced the production of weapons.
“Warazein Manufacturing Group is providing 9-mm semi-autos to equip local people defense forces in Mingin Township, Sagaing Division for the purpose of public defense work,” it stated.
