The Union Prime Minister made the following remarks at the meeting:

“Since the public is suffering from mental and physical insecurity due to the terrorist acts of the military council, it is important to treat these conditions.” “Since the control of territory is very important to provide security for people and rule of law, the military sector, the administration sector, and the law enforcement sector all have to work together.” “Since the NUG is a revolutionary government, everyone needs to work more than usual.”

So far, the terrorist military has burned down more than 400,000 houses nationwide and killed at least 2,000 people.

2. NUG’s Minister of Human Rights encourages bringing justice that will punish the criminals

On January 6, U Aung Myo Min, Union Minister of Human Rights, encouraged bringing justice that will punish the criminals, as follows:

The NUG government has offered to fully cooperate with the International Court of Justice (ICJ), which is currently prosecuting the military regime, and has also stated that it will supply all required evidence.

3. NUG’s Deputy Minister Dr. Sai Khaing Myo Tun says that it is important not to be divided by the enemy

Dr. Sai Khaing Myo Tun, Deputy Minister of Education, said that it is important not to be divided by the enemy. The Deputy Minister told the public the following in his statement in January:

The terrorist military lost at least 20,000 troops during the people’s defensive revolution of more than a year. At present, the military council has started spreading fake news and disinformation and is trying to divide the revolutionary forces.

4. The military junta troops burned down 11 more houses in Myaung Gyi Village in Kawlin Township on January 5

The Kawlin Revolution (KR) team reported on January 6 that the military council troops burned down 11 more houses in Myaing Gyi Village, Kawlin Township, Sagaing Division. It stated the following:

“11 more houses in Myaung Gyi Village were burned down. A house that was rebuilt after the previous fire was also among them. 10 out of 11 houses were completely burned to ash, and one was slightly burned.”

It is also reported that the military column that left Myaung Gyi Village arrived near Hle Pwe Village and contained about 50 soldiers.

5. A revolutionary force used two mines to target 5 military armoured vehicles returning to Monywa, hitting and smashing one armoured vehicle’s head

On January 5, the Democratic Guerrilla Force, a revolutionary force in lower Chindwin, reported the news of the attack it carried out, as follows:

“We used two mines to attack five military armoured vehicles returning to Monywa from the Ma Au Check Gate on the Monywa-Mandalay Highways, and one of them was hit and smashed in the head.”

The mine attack was said to have been carried out jointly by the Democratic Guerrilla Force (lower Chindwdin), the KUG-GYZ, and Bandula and his crew (GYZ).

6. The base camp of the King Peacock Column was bombarded twice by junta’s fighter jets

On January 5, the King Peacock Column stated that its base camp had been twice bombarded by junta fighter jets, forcing comrades to retreat. It reported as follows:

“The base camp of the King Peacock Column was fired on by military council troops for several nights with heavy weapons and was bombarded twice by jet fighters and attacked with machine guns from the jets, destroying the whole camp, and we lost some of the column’s belongings. At the time of the attack, the comrades of the King Peacock Column had made an orderly evacuation of the camp, so no one was hurt and only the buildings and immovable things in the camp were damaged.”

The King Peacock Column also pledged that, regardless of the difficulties they face, the comrades of the King Peacock Column will continue to carry out their duties until the victory of the spring revolution in order to achieve the federal democracy that all ethnic people yearn for.
