The Prime Minister added this in an interview with a news agency in January. “The National Unity Government believes that if it is carried out in the right spirit, it will be successful. We collaborated with ethnic organizations and worked with pure spirit and competence. That’s why we are having quite a lot of success. We are also gaining unity with most ethnic organizations,” he said. The prime minister stated that some organizations have agreed to work for the revolution, but ethnic revolutionary forces, which meet formally with the NUG on a regular basis, are not included in the dialogue.

It is reported that Myanmar has voted in favor of 5 resolutions on Israel-Palestine. The NUG Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a press release in January. It is described that Myanmar voted in favor of five resolutions on Israel-Palestine in the plenary meeting of this year’s 77th Conference held on December 12. “The remaining one resolution had Program Budget Implications, and only one was voted neutral in the 5th Committee,” announced the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Union Minister Dr. Zaw Wai Soe stated this on January 3 during a friendly and open meeting with CDMers from the Sagaing region. “After the revolutionary period had lasted two years, the international community began to respect and accept it, and there were improvements in all aspects. This year will be decisive, so let’s fight from our respective sectors and build mutual understanding without taking pride,” the Minister said.  Furthermore, ground unity is critical for revolution, and the model that will develop for the future on the ground should also be determined, the Minister reiterated.

4. The Ministry of Home Affairs and Immigration holds meeting with district public administration groups

On January 4, the Ministry of Home Affairs and Immigration held a meeting (1/2023) with district public administration groups. The Ministry of Home Affairs and Immigration, the Director General of the Public Administration Department, directed the necessary instructions at the meeting. The district public administration groups then discussed issues, needs, and challenges encountered on the ground. The meeting was attended by officials of the Public Administration Department from the Ministry of Home Affairs and Immigration and officials from the district Public Administration Groups.

Three people were killed in a drone attack on military council troops stationed in the school grounds of Htanmakauk village, Seikphyu township, Magway province. The Pakokku District battalion announced the military news on January 4. According to the report, three people were killed when local defense forces dropped bombs from a drone on the school grounds of Htanmakauk village, where military council forces were stationed in Magway’s Seikphyu township. The military council troops were attacked with the drone on January 1st, and it was reported to have crashed due to the use of anti-drone jammers from the terrorist army side while preparing for the second attack.

9. Over 60 military council soldiers die in an 11-day attack on their column with a force of more than 200

More than 60 people are said to have been killed in the 11-day attack on the military council column with a force of more than 200 that entered Kani township. The Kyauk Lone Gyi (KLG) Brigade confirmed the military news on January 4. More than 60 members of the terrorist army died during the encounter, and many others were injured. The Kyauk Lone Gyi- KLG brigade and allied forces lost 5 soldiers, 25 were injured, and one was missing. The operation was jointly conducted by Alpha Special Force, Truth of Force, Triple Two, Chindwin Garuda, Yinmarbin Local PDF, Yoma Fighter PDF, Yadanarbon Revolutionary Forces, Byatta Brotherhood, Cho Mine Mine, B-21 PDF, Chindwin Tiger (LPDF), Htantapin (LPDF), Yinmarbin PDA (Battalion 35), CRA, Dragon Brotherhood (DBTF), and MPDF.

10. Approximately 30 military council soldiers and Pyu Saw Htee members die in the battle of Sinnge village, TAZE P.D.F confirms

TAZE P.D.F confirmed that approximately 30 military council soldiers and Pyu Saw Htee members were killed in the battle of Sinnge village. TAZE P.D.F. informed the military news on January 4. “On the morning of January 3, the revolutionary brothers jointly attacked and captured the terrorist Pyu Saw Htee Camp in Sinnge village, Taze township,” it described. In the battle, about 30 terrorist military council soldiers and Pyu Saw Htee members were killed, and the people’s defense forces seized 2 MA-1s, 2 carbines, 4 (9V) guns, 2 hand-made guns, and more than 200 different types of ammunition and mobile phones. A defense force comrade was fallen while fighting for the overthrow of a military dictator.
