The meeting was attended by members, permanent secretaries and associate secretaries of ILACC, officials of ministries, and officials from the People’s Administrative Bodies of Bago Division.

On December 24, CRPH Support Group, Norway informed that, “In addition to the funds that could cover 300 children donated by the CRPH Support Group, Norway, we have raised enough for another 200 children from additional donations. Funds for a total of 500 children have been received, and more than 300 are still left. Donations will be accepted until December 31.”
These donations will be used to buy some necessities and some fun things for children aged 3 to 7 years in 18 IDP camps on the Indian border.

On December 24, the Minister of Education officially informed about the applications to take the Basic Education Completion Assessment (BECA).
It stated that, “Registration for the Basic Education Completion Assessment (BECA) will be available from October 29, 2022, to January 5, 2023. The examination and evaluation program will be held twice to make it convenient to answer. You can take the exam at any time of the designated month you like, but since the registration period will only be valid once, we encourage you to register before January 5, 2023.”

On December 24, the Myanmar Aerospace Engineering University Students’ Union (MAEUSU) informed that, “Along with Christmas and December, it is sure that this year’s winter will definitely be colder for displaced families who are fleeing war. They need warmth for displaced families who are huddled in temporary tents with waterproof canvas. Therefore, we will hold the “Two Hundred Blankets to Provide Warmth” campaign to distribute warm blankets as much as possible.”

On December 24, at around 6:00 a.m., Battalion 1 of the People’s Defense Army (Tamu City) seized the log truck.
“On the morning of December 24, at about 6:00 a.m., members of Battalion 1 of the People’s Defense Army (Tamu City) were ambushing on the Tamu-Aung Zeya highway and while conducting area security operations, they stopped and inspected a log truck driving from the Aung Zeya village to the Tamu. They found that the truck was carrying Inca lumber,” it said.
Upon further investigation, it was learned that the lumber was illegal, so the People’s Defense Army (Tamu City) Battalion 1 seized the lumber and released the truck.

In the Bago Yoma, there were at least 11 clashes between the junta troops and the defense forces.
On December 24, Taungoo District PDF informed about military news that, “There have been clashes between the 3501 battalion of Taungoo District PDF and the terrorist military council forces since December 15 in the Bago Yoma, of Taungoo District, Bago Division. At least 11 clashes have occurred, and at least 20 other rank soldiers, including Major Nanda Aung and an officer of the terrorist military council troops, have been killed and many injured.”
Three comrades from the Taungoo District PDF’s 3501st battalion had to give their lives valiantly, and one was injured (but not critically).
In the process, one MA-2 machine gun, two MA-1 assault rifles, two MA-3 assault rifles, one 60-mm bomb, one APG bomb and various ammunition were seized from the terrorist junta.
It is said that until now, the terrorist military council troops are still conducting operations, so the fighting is intense, and at least 1,000 local people are said to be fleeing to safety.

It stated that, “3 junta vehicles traveling from Mandalay to Kyaukse were attacked with a land mine at the third vehicle by the GARUDA PEOPLE’S DEFENCE FORCE at 2:45 p.m. and the bunkers were destroyed and fell down.”
It is also stated that 6 junta soldiers were killed and 2 were seriously injured by the mine.
