The Union Prime Minister Mahn Winn Khaing Thann says that the military council, which is able to manipulate public funds as it likes, has not been able to break down the strong sentiments of the people for more than a year, even after using all its forces

At the 66th Cabinet Meeting held on September 6, Union Prime Minister Mahn Winn Khaing Thann said, “The Military Council, which is able to manipulate public funds for its own selfish interests, has not been able to break down the strong sentiments of the people for more than one year, even after using all its forces. By looking at this, we cannot deny that we are on our way to victory. But we need to move faster than that. Since the longer the revolution goes on, the more the people suffer, and the more the country suffers, we feel sickened by the revolution’s being this long.”

Although the military council troops are carrying out airstrikes and ground operations in Sagaing Division, Magway Division, and Chin State, Karenni State, and Karen State, they are unable to gain control of the territory.

The Deputy Minister of Home Affairs and Immigration Khu The Bu explains the work of issuing birth certificates to the children of expatriate Myanmar nationals

At the 66th Cabinet Meeting held on September 6, Khu The Bu, the Deputy Minister of Home Affairs and Immigration (NUG), gave a briefing and discussion about the work of issuing birth certificates to the children of expatriate Myanmar nationals.

The 66th Cabinet Meeting of the National Unity Government was attended by the Acting President Duwa Lashi La, Union Prime Minister Mahn Winn Khaing Thann, and Union Ministers and Deputy Ministers from various ministries.

The National Unity Government is also planning to grant honorary citizenship to people of Myanmar abroad who supported the Spring Revolution.

The Deputy Minister of Education Ja Htoi Pan informs that the sample questions will be released for the examination of the Basic Education Completion Assessment

On September 6, Ja Htoi Pan, Deputy Minister of Education, posted on social media, “The online/offline test forms for the Basic Education Completion Assessment Examination, which will be held for the first time in February 2023, have come a long way. In the next few days, sample questions will be released.”

It is said that the full release will be published on the Facebook Page of the Ministry of Education (NUG).

It is also stated that those who want to take the examination will be able to register starting from October. The sample questions will be distributed using appropriate safe methods in areas where internet access is not available, said the deputy minister

Former political prisoner and activist Aung Zaw Oo died in prison due to severe beatings during interrogation

On September 6, the Assistance Association for Political Prisoners (AAPP) released a briefing.

“Former political prisoner and activist Aung Zaw Oo had suffered from several broken ribs due to severe beatings in interrogation, and these injuries worsened while in prison. Although he was sent to Sao San Tun Hospital for treatment, he passed away on September 6, 2022,” the AAPP said.

Aung Zaw Oo (aka) Mohammed Pwa Ruk, a former political prisoner and activist, was arrested in Taunggyi Township, Shan State on July 21, 2021.

In May 2022, he was sentenced to 7 years imprisonment with charges under Section 52 (a) of the Counter-Terrorism Law.

The military council is capable of controlling only about 17% of the territory of Myanmar

A Briefing Paper on “Effective Control in Myanmar” was published by the Special Advisory Council for Myanmar (SAC-M) on September 5.

It is stated in the paper that SAC-M’s analysis finds that the NUG and resistance organizations have effective control over 52% of the territory of Myanmar.

According to the paper, the military council is being actively contested in a further 23% of the territory and the military council is capable of controlling only about 17% of the territory.

Kani Guerrilla Force successfully produced a handmade rifle with a 5.56mm 10-Round Box Magazine

On September 6, a defense force in Kani Township, namely Kani Guerrilla Force (K.G.F), informed the people, “K.G.F, which is moving forward for the justice with new inventions, successfully produced a rifle that comes with a 5.56mm 10-Round Box Magazine.”

Kani Guerrilla Force (K.G.F) is also a force that resists and attacks the military council troops.
