NUCC says that the execution of Ko Kyaw Min Yu, Ko Phyo Zayar Thaw, Ko Hla Myo Aung, and Ko Aung Thu Zaw by the terrorist military regime is the crime of concealing the murderous bodies

The National Unity Consultative Council (NUCC) issued a statement on the night of 25 July regarding the execution of Ko Kyaw Min Yu, Ko Phyo Zayar Thaw, Ko Hla Myo Aung, and Ko Aung Thu Zaw by the terrorist military regime. 

“The fact that not only unjustly arresting those who sacrificed themselves for the country, but also lack of accurate information to the families like this is committing the crime of hiding the murderous bodies,”

NUCC said.

According to NUCC, unlawful killings and sexual violence by the terrorist military regime were seen in various parts of the country, especially in non-Burmese ethnic areas and had been committed intentionally for more than 70 years.

NUG Minister of Home Affairs says that the Terrorist Military Leader Min Aung Hlaing and his military regime are instilling the people with fear by killing innocent people

On 25 July, Union Minister of Home Affairs and Immigration U Lwin Ko Latt posted on social media,

“Min Aung Hlaing and his terrorist group killed innocent people on the streets, in the villages, and in battles against military ethics. They killed children, adults, grandfathers, grandmothers, men and women, all kinds of ethnic, and people of all religions. Lastly, they killed the political prisoners who had already been arrested in prison. They were killing them to instil fear into the mind of the people.”

The minister also said that it was not just by killing Ko Jimmy, Ko Zayar Thaw, Ko Hla Myo Aung and Ko Aung Thura Zaw, the killing of thousands of innocent civilians, and firing thousands of houses in villages had also showed its true colours.

Since the beginning of military coup until now, the military regime arrested over ten thousand people and tortured and killed over two thousand.

On 25 July, Union Minister of Planning, Finance and Investment U Tin Tun Naing posted on social media, “Bow with love and respect … I will fight unwaveringly, firmly and steadfastly with all my might until victory is achieved.”

On 25 July, the military council announced that Ko Jimmy, Ko Phyo Zayar Thaw, and two others – Ko Hla Myo Aung, and Ko Aung Thura Zaw were executed.

UK Minister of State for Asia Amanda Milling says that the execution of pro-democracy activists in Myanmar is a shameful and cowardly act.

On 26 July, UK Embassy in Myanmar officially released a statement.

“Appalled by the barbaric executions of pro-democracy activists in Myanmar. This is a shameful, cowardly act. It shows the desperation of the military regime in the face of the Myanmar people’s courage and determination to defend their freedom and their future,”

Amanda Milling the UK’s minister for Asia said.

In Khin-U Township, the military troops went on a rampage and set fire to people’s homes

On the morning of 26 July, local residents reported that civilian houses were being set on fire in the village of Chay Myit Kyin (North).

“The military column that absurdly set fire to the civilian houses in Ywa Sin village yesterday is setting fire to the civilian houses in the village of Chay Myit Kyin (North) this morning. They go on rampage in the village of Mankyi Oat and shooting large and small weapons in the surrounding area. A 13-year-old boy was hit by a bullet and some residents were trapped,”

said a local news source.

At the present, villages in Khin-U Township are being raided almost daily, and over 5,000 residents are fleeing.

As revenge for the four heroes, an operation was carried out by firing grenades at the police station in Yenangyaung city

The attack at 8:30 pm on 25 July was led by guerrilla comrades of the Central Armed Force – Seikphyu People’s Defense Force (CAF-SPUPDF).

“CAF-SPUPDF led by guerrilla comrade CL joined force with ‘Phay Kan Kaung from Yenangyaung’ team and attacked the Lat Hmat Kone area Police Station in Yenangyaung city with a bomb, and then there was a fired back from inside the station,” said CAF-SPUPDF.

CAF-SPUPDF stated that the attack was revenge for Ko Jimmy, Ko Phyo Zayar Thaw, Ko Aung Thura Zaw, and Ko Hla Myo Aung.

Sales of the Special Treasury Bond jumped up to four times

United Bond stated that the sales of the Special Treasury Bond jumped up to four times.

On 25 July, the United Bond stated, “After Ko Jimmy, Ko Phyo Zayar Thaw, Ko Hla Myo Aung, and Ko Aung Thu Ra Zaw were unjustly executed by the power-crazed military council led by Min Aung Hlaing, the number of people buying bonds on one day yesterday increased by four times the rate of buying on the previous day. The number of people buying EOD shares is also the same.”

Over 90,000 special treasury bonds have been sold, and nearly thirty-eight million US dollars have been raised.

United Bond also stated, “This shows how much the public hates and resents the military dictators. It clearly shows the people’s determination to overthrow the power-crazed demon military. If the public continues to support at this rate, the time to achieve the revolution will definitely be four times faster.”
