On February 22, at 10:00 a.m., the meeting of the NUG’s Interim Local Administration Central Committee (ILACC) (7/2024) was held. At the meeting, Union Prime Minister Mahn Winn Khaing Thann, chair of the ILACC, gave an opening speech.
Following, attending members of the ILACC explained the completion status of the activities discussed at the meeting (6/2024), future plans, and processes that needed to proceed. Then, the relevant officials discussed them extensively, and the meeting was successfully finished at 1:00 p.m.
Led by Union Prime Minister Mahn Winn Khaing Thann, Union Ministers, Deputy Ministers, Permanent Secretaries, Associate Permanent Secretaries and officials from ministries attended the meeting.

The discussion was attended by Daw Zin Mar Aung, Union Minister of Foreign Affairs, who is in charge of the National Unity Government’s alliance relations team, U Naing Htoo Aung, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Defence and officials, Nai Zeyar, the leader of the New Mon State Party (Anti-military Dictatorship), Deputy Leader – 1 Nai Banyar Lal, Deputy Leader 2 – General Lal Kaung and Nai Banyar Mon, who is in charge of alliance relations.

On February 15, at about 5:00 p.m., a group of 15 Pyu Saw Htee members of Myin See Village, led by Htay Aung, who was awarded a medal by the terrorist military junta, entered the forest about 1 mile away from the village.
They targeted and massacred the family members of U Lin (who was the 2020 Election Commission Ward/Village Chairman) who were farming there.
Ministry of Human Rights also stated that it is committed to bringing equality, peace, and justice to the people of Myanmar by all means.

The NUG Representative Office in Japan released a statement on February 22.

5. The Palaung State Liberation Front (PSLF) said that the time has come to build a federal democratic country where people can live peacefully together, freed from the evil military dictatorship
This was added in the publication of the resolution of the annual meeting of the Palaung State Liberation Front (PSLF) released on February 22.
The annual meeting of the PSLF was held at the Ta’ang Army TNLA Headquarters from February 17th to 21st with a total of 185 people, including Central Committee members, reserve Central Committee members, commanders, business department heads, officers and invited community elders.
During the meeting, they were able to discuss Myanmar’s ongoing struggle to break free from the oppressive military regime, evaluate the success of Operation 1027 carried out by the 3 northern allies, review the organization’s past year activities, and focus on enhancing and preparing the work departments for future endeavors.
Currently, the 3 northern Brotherhood Alliance have had to cease fire due to various pressures, but the local people continue to suffer the consequences of the war, and the PSLF also informed that the war is going on all over Myanmar.
Therefore, the statement stated that the time has come for all the people of Myanmar to work together to build a federal democratic country where they can live peacefully together, freed from the evil military dictatorship.
At present, the Palaung State Liberation Front (PSLF) will take the lead in improving security, law enforcement, education, health, and social development issues in the areas where the TNLA military is based, including the 7 cities that were preserved during the 1027 operation. They further pledged to strive towards establishing a public administration government that reflects the will of the people by 2025.
The Central Committee of the Palaung State Liberation Front PSLF/TNLA has announced that it will work together with all ethnic groups in the region to prevent other tribal organizations from forcibly recruiting new soldiers, collecting taxes, and interfering with their public standard administration activities in the Ta’ang region and will lead the people to reach their political goals as soon as possible.

7. The Arakan Army (AA) attacked the military council battalion about 4 miles away from Sittwe
It is reported that the Arakan Army (AA) has been launching an offensive on the Military Council Infantry Battalion (IB-232), about four miles away from Sittwe, the capital of Rakhine State, and the fighting is going on fiercely.
Since the early morning of February 21, the AA has attacked the IB-232 on the outskirts of Padaleik Village in Sittwe, and the fighting has continued intensely until February 22.
The main armory and 2 infantry battalions of the Regional Operations Command Headquarters (Sittwe) are located in Padaleik Village, where the battle is taking place, and the ammunition in the armory has already been moved to the State Hluttaw since early January.
It is reported that two 120-mm launchers were installed in the IB-232, and during the battle on February 21, the AA attacked the battalion with many howitzers.
Last February 12, the Arakan Army (AA) sent a message to the entire Sittwe Regional Operations Command (DaKaSa) to surrender, and since the military council did not surrender, they started attacking Padaleik Village in Sittwe Township.
It is reported that the military council has prepared for various plans militarily and has also provided training and instructed female police officers to defend Sittwe to the death.
On the other hand, the civil ministers and senior officials of the military council have moved to Yangon and Nay Pyi Taw in private cars and departmental cars since the first week of February. In addition, to prevent AA from entering Sittwe, the Military Council demined and destroyed the Min Chaung Bridge between Ponnagyun and Sittwe on February 9.
8. Tanintharyi PDF comrades were provided drone training for 45 days
The Dragon Squad TNI (UAV Force) announced that the Drone Wing of the Tanintharyi Region People’s Defense Force has provided drone training to the people’s defense comrades for 45 days.

It is said that the KNLA and PDF joint forces attacked the military council convoy of 300 strong with 17 vehicles carrying food and weapons from February 17 to 21 in the villages of Thingantone and Wakone. According to local news sources, the fighting started to break out on February 17 when the column invaded Thingantone Village.
Dawei Watch, a local news agency, said that 5 military vehicles were destroyed and 13 junta soldiers were killed in the battle near Wakone Village on February 19, quoting Commander Saw Hmu Gae of KNLA Battalion.
It is reported that a gun was seized from the military council during the fight on February 20.
On the night of February 21, the battle between Wakone Village and Kyauk Mae Taung Village was fierce, and the bodies of 27 dead military council members were recovered. Therefore, there might be the casualties of about 30 junta soldiers, said Commander Saw Hmu Gae. In the battle, 7 military vehicles and 34 guns were seized. He said that in the battle on that morning, 6 comrades from the KNLA and PDF joint forces were martyred and 7 guns were lost.
During the fighting, the military council bombarded the battle field 3 times with Mi 2 helicopters, the revolutionary forces and local residents were unharmed, according to military sources.
According to local news sources, the military council bombarded with at least 10 bombs with a Mi 2 helicopter on February 22 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the vicinity of Kyauk Mae Taung Village in Dawei East Forest.
10. During the battle in Ayadaw, 5 members of the military council were killed, 7 were injured, and 2 PDF comrades were injured
It is reported that the military council column coming out of Artillery Battalion-369 in Ayadaw Township, Sagaing Region, was intercepted, killing 5 junta soldiers and injuring 5 others.
On February 21, at 3:00 a.m., a 50-strong infantry column from Artillery Battalion-369 headed towards Ayadaw Town was intercepted by local defense forces near Tuu Kan Temple.
The battle lasted for about 30 minutes. A police sergeant from the military council side was killed during the battle, and 2 officers and 2 soldiers died in the hospital, said an official from Danger Force LPDF. In addition, 7 junta soldiers were also seriously injured, and two comrades from the local defense forces were receiving medical treatment because they were hit by bullets, he added.
Local defense comrades said that the area where the battle took place was about a mile away from the 5004 Armored Battalion, so the junta called for more reinforcements and then entered Ayadaw Town.
The operation was carried out jointly by Danger Force LPDF, Special Revolution Force, Mine Min Thar Underground Guerrilla Force, Monywa District Battalion 27, Monywa District PaKaFa and Eagle Force.

The places where the fighting took place were Mingote Village, Oe Htain Nge Taung, Kyaung Taung, Rataung Village, Moe Pin Htate Taung, fields, the border of the jungle, etc.
The military council returned fire with a large number of heavy weapons, counterdrones, and naval weapons, but the people’s joint defense forces were able to retreat unharmed.
The main forces that cooperated in column 2 were Tanintharyi Defense Guerrilla Force, Myeik District Battalion-2 Company-2, Taw Pone Gyi Group, Tanintharyi Yoma Group, Kyunsu PaKaFa, Palaw PaKaFa, the Dragon Squad Drone Force, and the Regional PaKaFa Security Team.
