The acting president Duwa Lashi La responded to an interview in March that the terrorist army is interfering with the self-determination and governance that all ethnic groups want.
“For over 70 years of our revolution, what all ethnic groups want is self-determination and self-governance. We cannot establish the federal democracy that the people expect as long as this army exists. Therefore, the most important thing is to eradicate the terrorist army,” the acting president said.
On February 1, 2021, the military usurped state power and arrested the heads of state. Currently, the terrorist group has killed over 3,000 people and arrested more than 10,000.
2. Union Prime Minister says to complete the revolution within the targeted period
Union Prime Minister Mahn Win Khaing Than stated on March 6 at the Union-level Resource Management Committee’s (1/2023) meeting that it is critical to complete the revolution successfully within the targeted period.
“The longer the revolution lasts, the more people will suffer, so it is critical to achieving success as soon as possible within the specified time frame. I would like to encourage everyone to turn the difficulties they faced during the two years of revolution as a source of strength and to collaborate with unrelenting perseverance until it succeeds.”
Then, the Secretary of the Union-level Resource Management Committee presented the completion of the (6/2022) meeting decision and proceeding processes. The meeting was attended by ministers, deputy ministers, secretaries, and representatives from the Defense Ministry, Home Affairs and Immigration Ministry, Planning, Finance and Investment Ministry, Electricity and Energy Ministry, Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation Ministry, and Prime Minister’s Office secretaries and office staff.

The foreign minister is visiting the United Kingdom for the first time and the United States for the second time. During her visit, the NUG Foreign Minister met with James Cleverly, Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, at his office on February 6. In that meeting, Foreign Minister Daw Zin Mar Aung expressed her gratitude for the UK’s newly imposed economic sanctions and the UK’s leadership in the UNSC.
On February 6, during her visit to the UK, the Foreign Minister met with Rushanara Ali, a Labor Party Member of Parliament and Chairman of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Burma, and discussed several issues, including the rights of minorities in Myanmar. In addition, the Foreign Minister met and greeted US Assistant Secretary of State Uzra Zeya on February 13, who attended the NUG Ministry of Foreign Affairs office’s opening ceremony in Washington, DC, and US Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman on February 14.
4. Home Affairs Minister says to expand the formation of People’s Police Forces and Public Security Teams
The NUG’s Home Affairs Minister, U Lwin Ko Latt, said it is necessary to expand the formation of People’s Police Forces and Public Security Teams. The Minister said at the meeting with Home Affairs and Immigration Ministry and township public administration bodies held on March 6. “As this is a time of military and political action, the Ministry of Defense is speeding up military operations. It is crucial to gain expanded territories, firmly govern the controlled areas, and provide public services. There is a need to expand the formation of People’s Police Forces and Public Security Teams,” the Minister said.
After that, the Permanent Secretary of Home Affairs and Immigration Ministry clarified the Ministry’s operations, and the Deputy Director General of the Public Administration Department explained the office work guidelines. Then, the members of the township’s public administration asked questions about the policies, guidelines, and difficulties faced by the ground administration, and the ministry’s officials responded.

“I would like to share knowledge related to human rights with the court staff. Both the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Human Rights must work together to deal with prisons and prisoners of war without affecting human rights. Our two ministries can connect and collaborate in four areas.
In addition, Justice Minister U Thein Oo discussed the importance of cooperation between the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights, as there are many issues to be addressed in order to reform Myanmar’s prisons. Then, officials from both ministries clarified their discussions.

The junta’s column raided Tartaing village on the night of March 1, and when they left on the morning of March 2, three women and fourteen men were arrested as human shields and killed somewhere on the road.

The Ye Belu Group is currently conducting frequent operations in Ye city, and there have been casualties on the junta side.

The terrorist junta troops and Pyu Saw Htee militia members burned down Chatthin, Pintthargyi, and Aukte villages in the Kanbalu district. The Kyunhla – Kanbalu Activists Group (Kanbalu District) reported the following on March 6:
“The villages of Chatthin, Pintthargyi, and Aukte in Kanbalu district, Sagaing region, were burned down by terrorist junta troops and Pyu Saw Htee militia members on March 4 and 5.”
On March 4, at 6:30 a.m., the military council’s 137th Infantry battalion raided the Aukte village in the Koetaungboet area of the Kanbalu district, destroying two civilian homes by fire. Similarly, on March 4, military council troops and Pyu Saw Htee members set fire to civilian houses where they were stationed in Chatthin village, Kanbalu district, destroying seven buildings. Moreover, more than 200 junta troops and Pyu Saw Htee militia members raided and burned down Pintthar village on March 4 and 5, destroying 51 civilian houses and agricultural equipment.
Currently, the terrorist military council and its subordinates, Pyu Saw Htee, are raiding and burning in the Koetaungboet, Chatthin, and Pintthar areas, forcing over 30,000 innocent locals to flee to safety.
