1. Defense Minister says now is the best time to demolish the terrorist military council throughout history
Union Prime Minister Mahn Win Khaing Than said at a cabinet meeting (6/2023) on February 14 that the terrorist military council has reached its weakest time. The Prime Minister said the following:
“In fact, everyone has already realized that this is the best time to demolish the terrorist military council throughout history. At this time, it is true that we all need to have stronger alliances and agreements between us.”
In addition, the Prime Minister said that the NUG should make full efforts for the roles they will have to prepare for and the roles they will have to put effort into.
2. Not only NUG but also ethnic revolution forces are taking part in the Spring Revolution
Defense Minister U Yee Mon said in an interview in February that not only the National Unity Government but also ethnic revolution forces are taking part in the Spring Revolution.
“This revolution is not being fought by National Unity Government alone. We are collaborating with the PDF Tatmadaw and ethnic resistance groups by building a unified military command and control system. The veteran military leaders of the ethnic revolutionary groups are in charge of military commanders of the “military regions” jointly formed by the NUG and the ethnic resistance groups,” said the Minister. The National Unity Government is currently carrying out a command-and-control system and arming according to military regions.
3. Union Minister Dr. Tu Hkawng says every political party that faces the public has no reason to contest Min Aung Hlaing’s fake election
Union Minister Dr. Tu Hkawng said on February 15 that every political party that faces the people has no reason to contest Min Aung Hlaing’s fake election. The Minister stated the following:
“Every political party that faces the people has no reason to contest Min Aung Hlaing’s fake election. There is no reason to support it. In terms of democratic principles, disliking the NLD and accepting Min Aung Hlaing’s policy is already a mistake.”
The terrorist group has announced that it will hold a fake election in 2023. “We are revolutionizing policy, not people. It is revolutionizing Min Aung Hlaing’s policy of eternal military slavery. Any person or organization that supports that policy may become enemies of the revolution,” the Minister added.
4. NUG has provided emergency grants to the bereaved family members of innocent people killed by the military council
The National Unity Government has provided emergency grants to bereaved family members of innocent people killed by the military council, according to the Pale Township Public Administration Group.
“On July 11, 2022, the Pale township Public Administration Group and a township humanitarian official provided the NUG government’s emergency grants to bereaved family members of innocent people killed by the military council,” it stated. The Pale township Public Administration Group has been providing humanitarian assistance on time with the guidance of the NUG government.
5. The second CDM meeting will be held on February 19
According to the CDM Success Committee, the second CDM meeting will be held on February 19. The meeting will be attended by Union Prime Minister Mahn Win Khaing Than, as well as CRPH representatives and officials. Over 1,300 CDM employees attended the Civil Disobedience Movement’s 2nd-anniversary celebration in early February.
6. Defense Forces exterminated the township militia leader of the terrorist army’s 44th division
Defense forces exterminated the township militia leader, a military veteran of the 44th terrorist division, who proclaimed, “I will arrest PDFs.” On February 15, the Special Operation Force (SOF) confirmed the news as follows:
“Myint Yee (b) Paw Pi, the Yinnyein village’s militia leader who proclaimed “I will arrest PDFs” as part of the Nan Htike Aung operation, was exterminated by S.O.F forces this morning (7:15) at Ngwe Shyan tea shop on the south side of Yinnyein village.”
Even though there were other Pyu Saw Htee members inside the tea shop, defense forces could only exterminate one person and had no opportunity to search for and seize weapons.
